Through hands-on experiences, students can learn carpentry, machining, electronics, and, beginning in the fall of 2018, welding through the Workforce Expedite program.
A partnership program among Ashland County Community Academy, Ashland County West Holmes Career Center (ACWHCC), and Ashland City Schools, Workforce Expedite helps students earn multiple credentials in welding. During the program, students also earn their high school diploma and complete academic coursework tailored to the required Work Keys exam. After completion, students can receive further training at the ACWHCC Technical Center, giving them even more of an edge in this expanding field.
