Chances are, your teen already spends quite a bit of time with media and photography, whether by posting pictures on Instagram, making YouTube videos, or playing video games and keeping up with trends online. The good news is that these natural interests can lead to more fun, new friends, and valuable skills for the future.
The ACCA Media Arts Club and Photography Club are a great way for your child to get involved beyond the regular school day. Students come together to share their creative ideas, produce original works of art, and receive encouraging feedback to help them become the best artists they can be, all while deepening relationships with peers that have similar positive interests.
Students who spend time creating media art and photography develop skills they can apply to a number of subjects and life situations. While creativity is important, so are the skills it takes to complete specific artistic tasks for a purpose. In either the Media Arts or Photography Club, your teen will have a chance to work on the following:
- Problem Solving
- Attention to Detail
- Time Management
Our businesses, schools, government, and other organizations continue to rely on a variety of media to communicate their messages effectively. Encourage your child to dip their toes into the waters of the Media Arts or Photography Club. When it comes to finding a challenging and lucrative career, they will have many options!
- Radio,TV, or Journalism
- Public Relations
- Social Media Management
- Web Design/Management
- App Development
- Graphic Design
- Game Development
